Central
Terminal Railway (CTRY)
The CTR is actually a re-birth or an old interurban railway absorbed into CN predecessor Canadian Northern in 1914, who de-electrified and built north to connect to their trunk line. Today's CTRY was created in 1998, after CN abandoned the Graham Sub which would amputate the line from the remainder of the system. Named Central Terminal to honour its past, the new CTRY was purchased by local shippers with the backing of GVRC. In 2000 GVRC purchased all outstanding shares and assumed 100% ownership. CTRY's offices are located in Palmer ON. CTRY's only interchange is with the Canadian Pacific at Bieth ON.

Niagara RaiLink (NRLK) NRLK took over all terminal operations on CN's former Port Murray spur in the Niagara peninsula of Ontario on 01 October 2001. In addition to switching on-line industries the NRLK also handles interchange traffic destined for CP at Port Murray ON, from the large Bathurst paper Mill located there on the CN mainline in Vespra ON. NRLK's offices are located at Vespra Jct. |

Ontario RaiLink (ORL) Originally named the Genesee Valley Railway Division, what eventually would become the GVRC was established in 1985 as an internal shortline within CN to operate their Genesee and Merlin Subdivisions. GV became an independent railway in 1992, when new rail deregulation laws allowed larger railways to sell branchlines with ease. The railway was soon renamed to Ontario RaiLink to avoid confusion with the similarly named Genesee Valley Railroad in the USA. In a preparatory move to expand its network for the future, the GVRC became a holding company. After struggling in its final few years, the ORL was abandoned in 2004, however the GVRC continues to operate 4 successful shortlines in Ontario and Alberta.

Rockway RaiLink (RRLK) RRLK became GVRC's second railway purchase in 1997 when CN sold off the remainder of their Meadowbrook Sub in central Alberta to a coalition of local municipalities. It was originally named the Rockway Rail Co-operative with CP operating the line under contract. In 1999 the cities sold the line to GVRC, and the line was renamed Rockway RaiLink. The RRLK expanded significantly in 2003 when CP contracted out operation of their adjoining Rockway Subdivision to GVRC. RRLK now operates all local traffic on this line, while hosting a number of run-through CP freights over their former secondary main. RRLK is also the only GVRC road which hosts passenger service, as the once per week (summer only) joint VIA/Amtrak 'Pioneer' utilizes a portion of the Rockway Sub. RRLK's offices and shops are located in Meadowbrook AB.
